Every year we get the kids a tool and something science. This years tools were propane torches, which worked with the science: 12 beakers, 4 bottles of potassium chlorate, and a bag of gummie bears. Potassium chlorate is KClO3, potassium chloride with three loose oxygen atoms just eager to burn stuff up.
